Best Apps of 2016

2016 is almost gone and we have compiled a list of the best apps of this year. Although we focused on Android apps yet almost all of these apps are available for iOS devices too. Here is brief introduction of these apps and their features.

Wunderlist is an amazingly beautiful and light weight app that is available for iOS and Android devices. You can get it free from iTunes or Google Play Store. At first glance, Wunderlist looks like a to-do list app but it is way more than that. You can use the app to keep track of some basic tasks like buying groceries or you can move to the pro version that comes with advanced features. You can set reminders so the app would notify you about certain tasks.

The basic version of Wunderlist is available for free and it comes with basic functionalities. You can get premium subscription for $5 per month or $50 per year. The interesting thing about Wunderlist app is it’s suitable for business-oriented people as well as for users who need only basic features.

Tasker is not a new app as it has been around us for years and every year its popularity grows more and more. Tasker is exclusively available for Android devices and it has millions of users all over the globe. You can get Tasker from Google Play Store for $3 which is more than fair price considering its features. Tasker is compatible with Android phones and tablets running Android 4.0 or above.

As the app does hundreds of different things, it is quite difficult to describe what it actually does. Mainly you can use Tasker to transform the device and its features based on your preferences. For example, you can automate tasks to increase the battery life or performance of the devices. Tasker app is compatible with lots of other 3rd party apps so you can design complex features by this collaboration.

Swift Keyboard

Swift Keyboard was earlier available on Android devices but after Apple started supporting its iOS devices with 3rd party keyboard apps, it got overnight popularity on iTunes too. Without any doubt, Swift Keyboard is one of the best keyboard apps available for Android and iOS devices. The app has millions of users who love it because of its amazing themes and amazingly accurate predictions. The keyboard supports lots of languages and you can download themes from the app itself; some of the themes are available for free while some come with price tag.

LastPass is exclusively available for Android devices and it is a well known password managing app and service. The company has been purchased by LogMeIn (the company popular for its Hamachi product) and the parent company has made some amazing changes like full sync between all mobile and desktop devices. LastPass is available for free on Google Play Store and you can get the premium subscription (that comes with advance features) via IAP. LastPass not only saves passwords but it has built-in password generator too.
